Dato’ Dr Ramanathan Ramiah was thirty four years in government service as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. The last twenty years as Head of Orthopaedic Services in Perak. During that time he served YSIS intermittently as the need arose. He has extensive experience in providing treatment ranging from sport injuries to degenerative changes of the bone. He continues to practise as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in his role as CEO of YI/PPSAS. In addition, he has taken on the role of physiatrist where he works with his rehabilitation team in restoring optimal function to people with injuries to muscles, bones, tissues and nervous system (stroke patients).
